PEWAUKEE, WI (WISN/CNN) – Students at Wisconsin middle and high schools have been sharing nude and semi-nude pictures of teenage girls, which were allegedly taken at sleepovers.
A parent of a middle schooler says her daughter told her that following a summer camp, a number of girls had sleepovers at other homes, where topless and underwear photos were allegedly taken of at least 6 girls by another girl.
The images were then shared among students using three mobile apps – Snapchat, a secure photo app called MyEyesOnly and a fake calculator app that acts as a private photo stash – according to a high school parent.
Another parent told police “the inappropriate photos were shown to other people during 7th grade math.”
Police obtained search warrants for two phones, which they are examining for evidence in the investigation.
