NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Disgruntled star Anthony Davis scored three points on 1-of-9 shooting, outplayed badly by big man Nikola Vucevic (NEE'-koh-lah VOOCH'-uh-vihch) as the Orlando Magic beat the New Orleans Pelicans 118-88. Davis played 24 minutes in his third game since his agent told New Orleans the six-time All-Star wanted to be traded to a championship-contending team and won't sign an extension with the Pelicans.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Gordon Hayward scored 26 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:50 remaining, and the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 112-109 Tuesday night. Al Horford had 23 and Jayson Tatum scored 20 and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Celtics continue their dominance over the Sixers. The Celts managed the win without All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who sprained his right knee Saturday night.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kavell Bigby-Williams' tip-in at the buzzer lifted No. 19 LSU to a 73-71 win over fifth-ranked Kentucky Tuesday night. With the game tied after Keldon Johnson made two free throws with 6 seconds left, Skylar Mays drove the length of the court. His shot missed, but Bigby-Williams got the offensive rebound and scored to give the Tigers their first win over the Wildcats since 2009.

PITTSBURGH (AP) —Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin has been suspended one game for high-sticking Philadelphia's Michael Raffl late in Pittsburgh's 4-1 win over the Flyers. The league announced the suspension following a hearing between Malkin and the league's department of player safety. The two tangled and when they broke apart, Raffl punched Malkin in the back of the head and Malkin retaliated by swinging his stick in Raffl's direction.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — NASCAR has put a ban in place on drivers gambling on races, not that it was really a problem. But the rest of the fan base? NASCAR is all in and hopes an interest in legalized betting in a growing number of states can stir interest in the sport.
