PARKLAND, FL (WFOR/CNN) - Two security monitors at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have lost their jobs.
The monitors have been criticized for not confronting the shooter during the Feb. 14 massacre.
Board members for Broward County Public Schools decided to not reappoint the men at a board meeting this week.
One of the monitors told police that he saw the shooter quickly walk onto campus with his head down and carrying a large bag as if "he was on a mission."
The monitor said he notified another monitor about a suspicious person, but a minute later started hearing gunfire.
Seventeen people lost their lives in the shooting.
