Hello, Twitter. I am closing my DM’s but I appreciate everyone contacting me. I am still locked in the school, but remember I’m only a freshman. Please don’t just send your love to me, but pray for the victims’ families too. Love you all.

I cannot stop hearing the sound of the gun as he walked down my hallway. I cannot unsee my classmates who were shot get carried out by police. I cannot unsee the bodies on the floor. Please keep in mind the horror of what we’ve gone through today. #prayfordouglas

Sarah made it out okay. Her parents picked her up from an area where police were holding kids at around 8 p.m. Her dad, a family medicine doctor, said he was afraid she would be one of the victims coming into Broward Health.
She wasn’t.— Chabeli Herrera (@ChabeliH) February 15, 2018
