(Pool/CNN) - Oprah Winfrey put the presidential rumors to rest, telling the Hollywood Reporter that she will "never run for public office."
She was responding to speculation that she could challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.
Trump told ABC's George Stephanopoulos in 2015 that Oprah would be his dream running mate. Trump also talked about running for president on Oprah's show in 1988.
Winfrey said she doesn't know if she would beat trump in a presidential bid but that she will never find out.
