(RNN) - Ah, children. As the old saying goes, "When they're little, they step on your toes. When they're grown, they step on your heart."
Also, when they're little, they might walk through wet concrete.
"This little girl was trying to go see her mom and dad, so she came from upstairs to the basement to find them," leaving her footprints behind her, Porter Concrete Construction Co. of Cleveland, TN, said in a Facebook post.
"I looked inside and about 25 feet away from me I see this child standing dead center, and she had a look on her face that was priceless,'' Jonathan Porter told TODAY. "She didn't know whether to back up or move forward."
Brad Millaway said on Facebook that it was his home's basement that was being renovated.
The concrete company repaired the trail of footprints.
"They were still there. They hadn't finished it completely yet," Millaway commented on Facebook.
He also said that they left a set of footprints in the concrete as a memento.
