SAINT JOSEPH, MO (KQTV/CNN) - Three people were hurt when a giant explosion leveled a home in Missouri. Police in Saint Joseph say their injuries are not life-threatening but they were taken to the hospital.
KQTV says the investigation now focuses on the possibility of illegal fireworks.
Some neighbors were worried that there were small children inside of the home, but police determined that a 2 year old who lived there was at another home and OK.
ATF agents have been at the scene making sure there are no other explosives. Firefighters say the owners admitted to making smoke bombs in the house.
The next door neighbor says they've contacted police in the past about people making illegal explosives inside the home.
