(CNN) - The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says we're likely to see an above-normal hurricane season this year.
NOAA issued the update Wednesday.
Forecasters are now predicting between 14 and 19 named storms, five to nine hurricanes, and between two and five major hurricanes.
That would make 2017 the most active Atlantic hurricane season since 2010.
The average season, which runs from June 1 through Nov. 30, produces 12 named storms, of which six typically become hurricanes.
