Frozen yogurt made its debut in New England in 1970.
The first brand was called Frogurt and was produced by H.P. Hood.
Dannon and Humphreys followed suit with their own versions.
By the 1980s frozen yogurt sales shot up, largely because of its "health food" status.
And that’s true, if you don’t eat too much.
