(RNN) - Nintendo has announced the SNES Classic, a novelty system that comes equipped with 21 classic, fan-favorite video games.

The SNES Classic debuts on Sep. 29 and will cost only $79.99 - a low price for those looking to relive their childhood memories. Many of these older games now cost more than $100 on secondary markets, and the accompanying systems can drive similarly high prices.

But what is perhaps as big as the SNES Classic's announcement is that the previously unreleased Star Fox 2 will be published on the console. The Star Fox franchise is one of the most critically acclaimed of all-time, comparable to legendary names such as Zelda, Mario and Donkey Kong.

The full list of games available to play on the console, which features titles such as Final Fantasy III, Yoshi's Island, Secret of Mana and F-ZERO, is as follows:

  • Contra III: The Alien Wars
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • EarthBound
  • Final Fantasy III
  • F-ZERO
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Mega Man X
  • Secret of Mana
  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2
  • Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Punch-Out!!
  • Yoshi’s Island

The SNES Classic comes packaged with an HDMI cable and two wired controllers, so you can play on modern televisions with your friends and family.

The system arrives on the heels of Nintendo's monumental success with the NES Classic. The limited-release console sold out quickly, and current eBay listings ask upwards of $200. The system sold for $59.99 originally.
