(RNN) - There is no easy way to get over the death of a loved one and according to one NFL player, there seems to be no easy way to fly with the remains of one either.

New York Giants player A.J. Francis lashed out at the Transportation Security Administration in a series of tweets Monday after finding his mother’s ashes scattered throughout his suitcase.

Francis unleashed an expletive-filled rant in which he accused TSA of going through his suitcase and spilling the ashes all over his clothes. His mother died on June 26 at the age of 46, according to a post on his Instagram account.

“Make sure you close it back so her remains aren’t spilled on all my clothes," he said.

He continued Tuesday.

" ’Carefully repackaged’ but there were no remains in the suitcase when I opened it on camera at my bag check... then I open it at home, open my suitcase and take this picture."

TSA apologized to Francis via Twitter which he quickly declined with another expletive.

"Our officers are trained to handle your carry-on and checked property with care," TSA said via tweet. "Out of respect for the deceased, under no circumstances should the container be opened. Please accept our apologies and our condolences."
