(CNN) - It appears President Donald Trump may be considering adding a lawyer who helped former president Bill Clinton during the impeachment process to his team.
The New York Times reports that Trump met with lawyer Emmet T. Flood at the White House about joining his team.
Two sources told The Times that no final decision has been made on Flood and that he would not replace White House lawyer Ty Cobb.
However, The Times reports Cobb has told friends he does not expect to remain as White House lawyer for much longer.
The interview comes as President Trump and his allies continue to deal with the special counsel investigation led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller.
Trump responded to the report on Twitter Sunday morning.
