(CNN) - A new hearing implant is coming out that will let users take calls and stream music wirelessly from Apple devices.
Apple partnered with Cochlear, a medical device company, to produce the new device. It's called a Nucleus 7, and it was announced on Wednesday.
The FDA approved the device in June.
The implants are usually for people with severe hearing loss. They take the place of traditional hearing aids. The implants have both external and surgically inserted, internal components.
The devices will launch in September.
