(RNN) - A new trailer for Netflix show The Punisher was published Thursday morning, and with it comes a concrete release date.
The Marvel show will be published to the streaming service on Nov. 17, 2017, the same weekend as DC's Justice League movie.
This latest trailer gives viewers a more in-depth look at the series. And much like The Punisher's comic book counterpart, there are a lot of guns, blood and carnage.
Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Baby Driver, The Wolf of Wall Street) plays the role of Frank Castle, a former Marine who loses his family and vows to avenge them by any means necessary.
The series was meant to be released in October, but in the wake of the Las Vegas shooting, Netflix and Marvel made a joint decision to delay it.
Stephen Paddock opened fire on a Jason Aldean concert on Oct. 1, killing 59 and injuring 527. Police found up to 20 weapons in Paddock's hotel room, and another 18 at his home in Mesquite, NV.
In addition to postponing the series' release, the shooting moved Netflix and Marvel to cancel a New York Comic-Con panel earlier this month. They replaced the time slot with a documentary about Stan Lee, creator of many of Marvel's superheroes and villains.
