KEY WEST, FL (WSVN/CNN) – Stories of help and welcoming relief are emerging from south Florida.
From individual families helping neighbors to relief organizations taking the initiative to help those hurt by Irma, it is taking everyone pitching in to help Florida try to recover.
In Key West, Mark Atherly and his wife stayed at home during Irma. They endured the storm safely. But some neighbors were taking a hit.
So the Atherlys took in a couple from the neighborhood who were not faring as well under Irma’s winds and rain.
