RINO, CO (KMGH/CNN) - A man said a street and alley in his neighborhood are being used as a restroom, and he's seen multiple people defecate there.
The litter and trash outside Alex Renteria's family home is the least of his worries, he said.
"They literally (expletive) in my alley," Renteria said. "You can go next to that trash can and I promise, you'll find a (makes poop noise)."
Sure enough, there was one just a foot off the sidewalk.
"It's not sanitary, not safe," he said. "It's very explicit, to begin with."
He blames the homeless people that call the alley home, but they're not the only culprits.
"People leave the bars and come right down my alley and defecate and urinate, whatever they have to do," Renteria said.
There are more public restrooms in Denver than ever, with a new citywide initiative.
There are even mobile restrooms, although none in this part of town. And after midnight, all the restrooms in the area are closed.
"I was thinking about putting up a Porta Potty at both ends of my block, so maybe these people can have a restroom," Renteria said.
