(CNN) - Disgraces movie mogul Harvey Weinstein could be kicked out of the Motion Picture Academy board.
Dozens of women have come forward in recent days accusing Weinstein of sexual harassment or rape.
The academy's governing board of directors is meeting Saturday to possibly vote on stripping Weinstein of his membership. The board oversees the organization that hosts the Oscars and consists of 54 Hollywood power players.
Sources say there is a push within the academy to expel Weinstein.
In order for that to happen, two-thirds of the governing board would have to vote for the expulsion.
The Producer's Guild of America is also meeting Saturday to consider Weinstein's status.
Weinstein has apologized for his behavior while also denying accusation of non-consensual sex.
