DENVER (KCNC/CNN) - A mother on Saturday met the man who was saved by her son.

Evan Spear died two years ago but was an organ donor.

Because of that, Keith Stampley is alive. He wanted to show his gratitude to family.

"It was like he left a will," said Julie Spear.

She lost her 19-year-old son on May 16, 2015. Two days later, Keith Stampley, a retired minister of 30 years from Illinois, was given the gift of life.

"I just thank God. I thank God everyday," Stampley said.

Since receiving the transplant, he said he can feel Evan Spear every day.

"I never ate ketchup. After I had the transplant, I was like, 'Hey, I can eat ketchup.' Pizza, I never ate pizza. I like pizza now," Stampley said.

Evan Spear also saved three other people thanks to his organ donation.

"It has been a source of light and honor for me. And as a donor mom, it has really been saving me as well," Julie Spear said.

Julie Spear and Keith Stampley asked others to save lives.

"It isn't just a heart on your license. It truly can become a reality, and you can give life to others," Julie Spear said.
