SPRING GROVE, PA (WGAL/CNN) - Pennsylvania police arrested a man for the murder of a 24-year-old mother found dead on Saturday. Authorities say 59-year-old Ray Heck entered Samantha Stein's home armed with a knife intending to steal from her.
He confessed to police that he accidentally woke her up, and a scuffle ended with him stabbing her to death. Heck lives less than a block from Stein and befriended her some time ago.
The two visited each other often until Stein tried to limit communication with Heck. According to court documents, he continued trying to contact her.
Police found a knife and clothing believed to have been used in the crime at Heck's home. Stein had three children and was engaged to another man, who found her body.
Children were in Stein's home at the time of the murder, but they were not harmed.
