(RNN) – Mice and roaches are unwelcomed guests at the White House according to work orders placed with the government agency that keeps up more than 30 federal buildings in the nation’s capital.
The General Services Administration (GSA) has received dozens of requests for fixes to the White House in 2017, according to NBC News 4.
Mice show no regard for the status or power of the occupants and have been seen in the White House Situation Room as well as in food service areas, the report said.
Requests to deal with roaches, ants and for a new toilet seat in the Oval Office also have been submitted, NBC 4 said.
The number of work orders in 2017 is similar to the total in 2016, the last year of the Obama presidency. Up to $100,000 a year is spent on upkeep to the White House, which also serves as a major tourist attraction.
Time made a video about the complaints.
