(CNN) - A mermaid was found floating in the of Gulf of Mexico, and the Coast Guard wants information on it.
The mermaid is actually painted on the dock, adrift in gulf waters approximately 180 miles south of Grand Isle, LA.
Wednesday, the Coast Guard began asking the public for information about the dock.
They are not saying where it came from or how long it's been adrift.
We don't even know if they have that information.
A Coast Guard crew did a flyover to assess the dock and search for signs of distress.
Anyone with information should call the Coast Guard's eighth district command center.
