(CNN) - Chef Mario Batali served up his apology over sexual misconduct with a side dish of cinnamon rolls.
In his email newsletter, Batali acknowledged his "many mistakes" and apologized for disappointing family, friends and fans. He also promised to work regain their trust.
But he turned some heads by closing the note with, "P.S. In case you're searching for a holiday-inspired breakfast, these pizza dough cinnamon rolls are a fan favorite."
He then included the recipe for the dish along with a picture.
