(RNN) – The U.S. Marines have tweeted a video that provides fireworks for those who may have missed them on the Fourth of July.

The video shows machine gun fire, tanks, grenade launchers and other weapons providing plenty of bombs bursting in air, and rocket’s red glare. There also is music accompanying the sights and sounds.

The piece ends with the downing of several trees on the edge of a forest, resembling the sounds of an applause.

The Marines were founded in 1775, and conducted their first amphibious landing in 1776 when they helped capture a supply of gunpowder from the British at Fort Nassau in the Bahamas.

The enemy surrendered within minutes of the arrival of U.S. fighting forces, the Marines website says.
