(CNN) - Bahtiyar Duysak considers himself just "an ordinary guy" from Germany, who loves living in the United States.

The 28-year-old made a name for himself by taking President Trump’s Twitter account off-line for 11 minutes in early November. Duysak was a contractor for the tech firm at the time.

"I did a mistake, I confess. It's not like I was looking for something or planning to do it,” he told CNNTech. “I didn't do a good job, and I didn't double-check things."

Duysak wouldn’t say exactly what he did, but said he’s certain he didn't break the law and wasn’t trying to sabotage the president.

In fact, Duysak said he respects Trump's success.
