Man shoots wife after argument, children call police

BROWNSBURG, IN (WISH/CNN) - Police are looking for an Indiana man who they said shot his wife while their children were inside the home.

"They've been here three to four times in the past few months. The SWAT team was here, and they tore down the back garage," neighbor Michael Stafford said.

Police cars crowding Alpha Avenue is a scene that neighbors say they have grown used to.

This time, it was different as residents peeked from their doors and watched from their porches as investigators processed the scene.

"He must be crazy or something to shoot his wife with his kids there," neighbor Donna Boyles said.

According to Brownsburg Police Captain Jennifer Barrett, married couple Ken and Tiffany Bolin were arguing about phone calls when Ken pulled out a gun and shot his wife multiple times.

Her 6-year-old saw it all happen, and tried to help as her 13-year old called 911.

"Obviously not good for the kids. They've been dealing with that for a number of years," Stafford said.

Barrett couldn't give specifics, but said Brownsburg police have been to the couple's home several times.

Police believe Ken took off on his motorcycle moments after the shooting.

They've been searching for him ever since, but neighbors say it's just a matter of time before he's caught

"Not too many ride motorcycles this time of year, so it's going to be hard for him to get away," Boyles said.

Police believe Ken Bolin is armed and dangerous. They said Tiffany Bolin had surgery, but her condition is unknown.

The children are safe.
