EL PASO, TX (KFOX/CNN) – A customer at a Texas McDonald’s threatened an employee, jumped over the counter and punched him in the face because it took too long to give him French fries, witnesses say.
Witness Alfredo Sanchez recorded the Sunday night incident on his phone.
"We were eating, and all of a sudden, I hear my friend say, ‘What the heck?’ And I see a guy come in with a big dog,” Sanchez said.
Sanchez says an unidentified man was irate over an issue about his food order.
"He's telling the people, ‘I waited two hours for my fries,’” Sanchez said.
In the video, the man swipes the cookie display off the counter and starts threatening an employee.
"The guy takes off his shirt, and he's ready to fight him, ready to fight, jumps over the counter, and that's when he hits the guy. He just punches him right on the lip,” Sanchez said.
The El Paso Police Department arrived on scene after they say they were called out for reports of a fight going on at McDonald’s.
"Finally, the cops get there, and they kind of just get him. They take him outside, and another cop car comes in,” Sanchez said.
Police say no one was arrested, and the investigation is still on-going.
"I didn't believe it was happening. I've never experienced anything like – of course, I've seen videos like that happen on the Internet. But I've never actually witnessed something like that,” Sanchez said.
