NEW YORK (WCBS/CNN) - In New York, a man in his 70s has been seriously injured when he opened a package and it exploded. It happened outside a home in Queens on Friday.
The man's injuries are serious but not life-threatening. Police say the man was the landlord of the property. WCBS said.
The incident is under investigation.
The victim, 73 suffered burns. He was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, WCBS reported, adding that investigators are still trying to figure out what was in the package.
