DALLAS, TX (RNN) - A man in Texas reeled in a particularly large fish with a chicken nugget from McDonald’s.
Matthew McNellis was fishing on a lake and having little luck until his girlfriend suggested that he use a McNugget as bait.
To his surprise, it worked, and he reeled in a gigantic big mouth bass, weighing around 11 pounds and measuring 24.5 inches long.
He took the fish to Highview Marina in Ennis, TX, where it was declared a record-setting catch.
After McNellis got the measurements, he released the bass back into the water.
