BOWIE, MD (WJLA/CNN) - A man is under arrest after authorities say he killed his stepfather, then posted pictures of himself next to the victim's body.
Police said the wife of victim Ronald Francis Pickney and a witness told police that Pickney's stepson, Navar Terrance Beverly, told her, "I told you I would do it."
He then told her that his stepfather was "dead in the garage."
Police found pictures Beverly posted on Twitter late Friday night of him alongside the body of his dead stepfather.
Those pictures have since been pulled from Twitter.
Pickney's body was found with injuries to his neck.
Beverly fled the house. Police, who were on the lookout for Beverly's maroon minivan, found it in the Landover area.
After an attempted traffic stop and brief chase, Beverly crashed his van and ran on foot. Police caught up and took him into custody.
Detectives say police had been called to the house a month earlier when Beverly and Pickney were fighting. Beverly had his stepfather in a chokehold until a witness stopped him.
