(RNN) - That's some good Twittering, Little Debbie. You too, Wendy's.
The two companies have developed a strong presence on the social media site through their fun, quirky tweets. That's presumably what caused someone to post Wednesday, "Tweets like this are why I think @Wendys and @LittleDebbie should host a talk show."
Challenge accepted.
For nearly nine hours, Little Debbie and Wendy's co-hosted a "talk show" on Twitter. There were even guests, starting with MoonPie.
But even fake shows have issues, and the next scheduled guest, Denny's Diners, didn't show. Luckily, Pop Tarts arrived to fill in.
Twitter, for the most part, was quite amused.
#This is the best thing to happen on the @twitter since... ever. #wendys #littledebbie

In today’s political climate, this thread gives me hope for the world. Bless you @LittleDebbie @Wendys and @MoonPie

And now a word from our sponsors. Which are us. We are the sponsors.

And even Denny's showed up, only a few hours late.
The gang has continued to chat back and forth into Friday. Little Debbie even tossed out the idea of making it a regular thing.
