NEW YORK (WABC/CNN) - As warmer weather makes its way through New York, ice and snow are starting to melt, and residents have to be careful when it comes crashing down.
A car was crushed when a chunk of snow and ice fell off a building Tuesday.
Witnesses said the snow and ice cascaded down the side of the 21-story building and landed right on the parked vehicle.
No one was inside it at the time, and no injuries were reported.
With the ice and melting across the city, the Buildings Department issued a reminder that owners must secure their properties from hazardous conditions.
