(CNN) - It appears a much anticipated 'Sex and the City' third movie is really not going to happen.
In an interview with Piers Morgan on Monda, actress Kim Cattrall, known as Samantha Jones on the HBO hit, said she was never friends with her co-stars.
She clarified saying, "we've been colleagues and in some ways, it's a very healthy place to be because then you have a clear line between your professional life and relationship and your personal."
Cattrall has been taking heat from fans who blame her for "Sex and the City 3" movie being called off.
Cattrall says she passed on returning to the role because she made an empowered decision to "end one chapter and start another."
The 61-year-old actress also said she decided against having children because of the busy shooting schedule.
When the show began, Cattrall was in her early 40's and had considered fertility treatments, but decided could not keep up with 19-hour days, the treatments and raising a child.
The interview appeared on Britain's ITV.
