Kid with fiddle raises money for Hurricane Harvey animals

AUSTIN, TX (KXAN/CNN) - A 10-year-old is using the Austin City Limits music festival to raise money for pets that became homeless due to Hurricane Harvey.

Jackson Wreden and his fiddle set up outside the festival's entrance and collected tip money he plans to donate to Austin Pets Alive.

"I really love pets and I really love animals, and I want to help them out," Wreden said.

Wreden's goal is $1,000 and after a few days at the festival, he had taken in $945.

"Now they don't have their families anymore and they need new families," Wreden said.
