(CNN) - Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his wife welcomed a baby boy in June.
The protective parents are intentionally keeping their two children out of the spotlight.
Gordon-Levitt's wife, Tasha McCauley, has a degree in robotics and an MBA and chooses to stay out of the public eye.
They say they want their children to be able to decide for themselves if they live a public life.
The two share another son who turns two next month.
