(CNN) - The ABC television network announced that late-night host Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2018 Academy Awards.
This will mark the second Oscars event Kimmel has hosted.
Kimmel called hosting the Oscars the highlight of his career.
He also joked that he plans to mess up the 90th anniversary show even worse than this year.
The comedian was referring to Warren Beatty mistakenly announcing La La Land as "Best Picture" winner.
He was given the wrong envelope and Moonlight was the actual winner.
The 2018 Oscars are almost a year away and the event is scheduled for March 4.
