(RNN) – A Pennsylvania prankster did some homemade promotion for a scary movie that will come out this week – and managed to unnerve the entire Lilitz Police Department in the process.
“We give points for creativity,” the department wrote on its Facebook page. “However, we want the local prankster to know that we were completely terrified as we removed these balloons from the grates and we respectfully request that they do not do that again."
For anybody who doesn’t know what movie they are talking about – or for those who aren’t fans of horror writer Stephen King – they recommend you google “It” and watch the preview.
“But we suggest watching the preview with a friend or coworker with all the lights on and the sound down low,” the police wrote.
Being the nice people we are, we’ve done the heavy lifting for you and provided a link to the trailer in question.
It's safe for work - provided your boss is not scared of clowns. Try not to scream, too. It upsets
