(RNN) - The trailer for stop-motion flick Isle of Dogs was published to YouTube on Thursday.
According to The Verge, Isle of Dogs is set in a futuristic Japan. The movie's events take place during an outbreak of "dog flu," which has forced the government to place canines on an island, quarantining them from the human populace. A young pilot by the name of Atari Kobayashi sets on out on a journey to rescue his dog from the island.
The movie is filmed in entirely in stop-motion and features a massive list of Hollywood's finest as voice actors: Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Ketiel, Live Schrieber, F. Murray Abraham, Courtney B. Vance, Boba Balaban and Yoko Ono.
In 2016, director Wes Anderson raffled off a small part in the film as part of a CrowdRise fundraiser benefitting Martin Scorcese's Film Foundation, which says it's "dedicated to protecting and preserving motion picture history."
Isle of Dogs will arrive in theaters on March 23, 2018.
