MIAMI (WSVN/CNN) - Hurricane Irma hasn't even hit South Florida yet, but tropical storm-force winds have already started causing damage.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for areas including the Everglades on Saturday.

High winds took down traffic signs and trees, including one that fell on a house in southwest Miami-Dade County.

The family was at home at the time, but no one was injured.

Officials are urging motorists and pedestrians to stay off the roads as wind speeds pick up.
