(CNN) - Getting your hands on the new iPhone X is proving to be difficult, and it's not even on sale yet.
Preorders for the smartphone opened at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time Friday, a week ahead of the Nov. 3 launch and the initial supply sold out within minutes.
That means most people will have to wait five to six weeks for the next shipment.
The latest Apple smartphone comes in just two colors - silver and space gray.
It is an all-glass design, but Apple says it is the most durable glass ever used in a phone. The phone will also have facial recognition software, allowing you to unlock your phone by scanning your face.
The starting price for the iPhone X is $999.
