(KCTV/CNN) - From driverless cars to 3D printers, the world-changing technology of the future is in many cases already here. And that revolution now also extends to finding the right pair of jeans.
For many women, scouring a store and going back and forth to the fitting room to find the pair that fits just right can be a frustrating, defeating experience.
“I don’t think I’ve ever found the perfect pair, and that’s a bummer,” said one woman. “I hate shopping for jeans. They're too tight in the legs, too long, or they're too big in the waist - they never fit right.”
Said another: “That's why I don't like going to dressing rooms. I order online and suffer in the silence of my home, you know?”
Now there’s an experimental way to avoid all of that. It just takes trying on a pair of technologically advanced leggings.
A company called “Like A Glove” makes leggings with sensors that can take a woman’s measurements.
The leggings connect through blue-tooth to an app and within seconds, it produces a list of recommended jeans based on the measurements, in a wide variety of price ranges.
The product can help women see where certain quirks of sizing and styles of labeling have served them wrong.
The leggings, at about $68, go for around the same as a nice pair of jeans themselves. But there’s nothing stopping groups of friends or family trying it out together. Call it the sisterhood of the traveling high-tech leggings.
