UPPER DARBY TOWNSHIP, PA (KYW/CNN) – A passenger train with more than 30 people aboard crashed into an unoccupied train car early Tuesday.
The unoccupied car was sitting at a terminal in Upper Darby Township, PA, when the high-speed passenger train crashed into it, according to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
At least 33 people were injured, including the train’s conductor.
“There was blood everywhere. There was this driver all banged up, and there was this one girl bleeding out of her face pretty bad,” a passenger named Ronnie told CNN affiliate KYW.
SEPTA says all the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the crash.
