(RNN) - A teacher in Georgia had a gym full of students cheering him on when he proposed to his girlfriend last week.
The crowd went wild as Sydney Wright said yes to history teacher Robbie Galvin in front of about 2,200 screaming students of Lassiter High School in Cobb County, GA.
The students rushed the floor to celebrate with the couple similar to when a team hits the winning shot at the buzzer. The band, cheerleaders and students packed the gym last week for the pep rally when Galvin popped the big question.
Galvin took a knee to ask Wright, who also dropped to her knees in her excitement. The couple hugged and then the celebration was underway.
Families of the new couple were at the rally as well, according to the Cobb County School District.
