KATY, TX (KTRK/CNN) - A grandmother, 60, shot and killed one home invasion suspect while another is on the run on Monday. Harris County deputies said the two men came into the house through the garage, and were armed.
"Both were armed with pistols, she confronted both suspects, retrieved a handgun and fired several times at both subjects," Deputy Thomas Gilliland told KTRK.
The woman, who was alone at the time, shot one man dead, but the other fled, scaling a fence on his way out.
The woman said she did not know the two men.
