PORTLAND, OR (KATU/CNN) - A couple who recently moved to Portland feels threatened after someone sprayed graffiti on their home, telling them to go back to California.
“Get California out of Portland,” the writing said on the front door. All the words were anti-California. “Move back,” someone wrote.
Preston Page has already repainted the exterior of his home, and purchased two flood lights and surveillance cameras to install outside his house. The couple had spent thousands of dollars fixing the home, but Preston Page is optimistic.
“Other than this little instance, the city is great, the community is great,” he said on Sunday.
A neighbor was upset over the incident. “I just couldn’t believe that somebody would do something like this,” a woman said.
