Gospel singers lift spirits of flood victims with powerful song

Posted

(RNN) – In a Conroe, TX, shelter filled with flood evacuees, a soul-stirring rendition of “Spirit Break Out” suddenly rang out through the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center, and the room stood still.

The video of Victoria White’s booming voice bringing a message of hope to people who had lost so much has totaled more than 15 million views and has been shared on Facebook almost a half-a-million times.

“This woman’s powerful voice, singing praise, lifted the spirit of all within earshot,” Joni Villemez-Comeaux wrote in a public Facebook post.

The applause after the song was a testimony to that.

White, an admissions counselor at Sam Houston State University, was among a group of volunteers who were part of an outreach mission that was raising money for flood victims in southeast Texas, according to WFAA.

“I had no idea this was being recorded, but God had a plan!” White wrote in a public Facebook post Tuesday. “Not only did He want to Love on those gathered in Lonestar Expo Center who suffered loss at the hands of Hurricane Harvey, but He wanted to love on people across the world who were dealing with their own personal storms.”

Here: It'll warm your heart.
