(CNN) - Former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty Friday to lying to the FBI about conversations with Russia’s ambassador.

Shortly afterward, former FBI Director James Comey shared a justice-minded verse from the bible on Twitter and Instagram.

Referring to the book of Amos from the Bible, Comey tweeted: "But justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”

Comey was leading the investigation into whether Trump campaign members colluded with Russians who hacked the 2016 election when the Trump administration fired him in May.

The administration said it was getting rid of Comey because of the way he handled the Hillary Clinton email probe.

Democrats ridiculed the assertion. They attributed the firing to the Russia investigation.

Comey later testified to Congress that Trump that had pressed him to drop the probe into Flynn and repeatedly pressured him to publicly declare that the president wasn’t under investigation.
