(RNN) - A social studies teacher who allegedly hosted a white supremacist podcast has resigned.

Dayanna Volitich submitted her resignation Monday. Charles E. Moore, Volitich's attorney, didn’t comment on her resignation letter.

The Citrus County School District had removed the 25-year-old teacher from her classroom at Crystal River Middle School while it investigated allegations that she bragged about disseminating white supremacist ideas to her students while hiding her views from school administrators.

The Huffington Post first reported last month that Volitich had revealed those details on the podcast “Unapologetic,” in which she went by the pseudonym “Tiana Dalichov.”

Volitich also allegedly made racist remarks on “Unapologetic” and a related Twitter account, which is now deleted. She later attributed her remarks to “political satire” meant to attract followers.

Volitich’s resignation isn’t final until the school board approves it, which it could do during its April 10 meeting.

Volitch has taught at the school for more than a year, said Michael Mullen, the Citrus County Schools assistant superintendent.
