DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (WSVN/CNN) - Police in south Florida released video of an incident from last month where someone threw a firework into a Wendy's restaurant.
Detectives think it was a prank pulled off by a group of teens, but they aren't laughing and want the suspects caught.
A subject walked up to the door but did not open it, according to Deerfield Beach Police. The next time the door opened, another subject tossed a firework inside the restaurant.
In the video, red sparks began to fly, and the firework emitted smoke before a larger flare scared away a female employee sitting nearby.
Detectives believe eight to 10 young males were responsible. Police said the group fled the scene after the explosion.
The employee was able to run to safety and was not injured.
The restaurant was evacuated.
Broward County police are asking the public for help catching the teens, and offering a $3,000 reward.
