HUNT COUNTY, TX (KTVT/CNN) - A car crashed head-on into a fire truck in Hunt County, TX, killing one person and injuring three firefighters. Authorities say the fire truck was responding to an early morning call when an oncoming car crossed the center line and hit the fire truck.
The fire truck overturned, and the other vehicle burst into flames. The car's driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the firefighters were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The third firefighter was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The highway was shut down for several hours while crews cleared the wreck, and authorities conducted an investigation.
