(CNN) - Facebook’s video feature is changing.
Advertisements will appear in the beginning of some videos on the social media site, according to a blog post published Thursday.
Facebook also said ads that pop up midway through a video will only be included in clips that are at least three minutes long.
Newsfeed rankings are changing as well, to make it easier for content creators to reach audiences, the company said.
Many of the updates are expected to take effect next year.
